Mike Knobloch is the President of Global Film Music and Publishing at Universal Pictures. At Universal, Knobloch has overseen the music for some of the studio’s most successful franchises including Fast & Furious, Pitch Perfect, and Fifty Shades of Grey. Recently, he supervised Universal and Dreamworks Animation's Trolls World Tour and its soundtrack helmed by co-Executive Music Producers Justin Timberlake and Ludwig Goransson.


Knobloch is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He also serves on the board for both The Recording Academy and MusicCares.

In 2018, Knobloch, along with Universal’s Global Talent Development & Inclusion group, launched the Film Music Composer Diversity Initiative. The first-of-its-kind program aims to identify and develop talent with a focus on underrepresented groups in the film music industry, as well as to increase awareness of new composers among executives, producers and directors.

Knobloch received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwestern University. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their children.
